Lifts for the disabled in every building situation

Problem-free, additional access to a building for wheel chair users is possible by means of vertical or inclined Lifts for the disabled, both internally and externally.

Lifts for the disabled in every building situation

Basically, there are three categories of Lifts for the disabled:

  • Inclined Lifts for the disabled (also known as inclined platform lifts or inclined wheel chair lifts)
  • Vertical Lifts for the disabled (also known as vertical platform lifts)
  • Wheel chair platform lifts, a special form of vertical Lifts for the disabled

The frequently used concept of the platform lift is a simplified combination of the last two categories mentioned, which are substantially different.  It can be either an inclined or a vertical platform lift.

HIRO LIFT offers all three variations of lifts for wheel chair users. As a rule, they can be integrated subsequently without any problem.

In particular, when space is limited, it is a sensible and space-saving alternative to install an inclined wheel chair lift that tracks the staircase and features tight cornering and compactness when out of use.
The high quality stainless steel tubing on which the inclined platform lift travels up and down can serve as a banister at the same time. Hands and clothing of users of the staircase remain clean on contact with the HIRO LIFT, because it uses mainly traction drives that require no lubricants or oils. Power is supplied from a battery. This guarantees that, in the event of a power-cut, the user will not be stranded half-way up the stairway.

Internal and external vertical Lifts for the disabled are offered as complete systems in a highly stable, self-supporting hoistway structure. The framework is constructed from aluminium profiles and is encased with sandwich elements of steel or safety glass. A larger usable surface is made available in the home, by means of the low dimensions of vertical platform lifts. Costly structural changes are no more necessary for a vertical lift for a disabled person than is the installation of a high voltage supply: 230 volts are sufficient for all purposes.

If the wheel chair user needs to surmount only a modest height, a wheel chair platform lift will be installed in many cases. In general, this is designed for coping with a vertical difference in height of 1.5 meters.

An inclined lift for the disabled individually suited to your staircase

Inclined platform lifts, which are accessible for a wheel chair, may be adjusted to individual requirements, as with stair lifts with a seat. In comparison with the latter, they require only wider steps.
HIRO LIFT offers inclined platform lifts for almost all types of staircase and stairway gradients. Thus, it matters not whether it should be installed internally or externally to the staircase, or whether it is intended for use in a building, or out of doors.

A HIRO inclined platform lift is comfortable, safe and easy to use

Using a HIRO inclined platform lift is very simple in all respects. It is a user-friendly, high tech product, with sophisticated technology. Installation to your staircase is effected quickly and cleanly. Daily use entails only a few steps, which are intuitive and easy to learn.
Only power points at the locations where the lift stops are needed to operate it. All inclined platform lifts are equipped with a maintenance-free battery, which charges itself automatically when the lift is parked. In this way, your mobility is assured even in the event of a power-cut.

In daily use, HIRO inclined platform lifts are quiet and clean

The patented drive concept of the traction drive allows for all rack driven hoisting gear, chains or wire rope hoists to be dispensed with. These inclined platform lifts are therefore quiet, need little maintenance and are clean: Double piping of stainless steel assures exceedingly good stability on curves and a most comfortable ride. Attractive design and variable colours allow for problem-free integration in different living areas.
The toothed rack drive is only used with vertical platform lifts for straight staircases, because their advantageous features for driving round curves do not apply there.
