Machine-room-less Passenger lifts for commercial and public buildings
One of the basic principles of modern design is that “form follows function”. The form, i.e. the outer shell, of a product must reflect the product’s function and the key elements necessary for smooth operation.
In conventional lift construction, this meant that elaborate drive units had to be accommodated in a modern design and, moreover, that a machine room had to be integrated architecturally above the lift.
HIRO LIFT with its own unique patented traction drive system enables designers and architects from the traditional constraints associated with conventional drive systems.
Thus, machine rooms are superfluous for the HIRO 500, 600 and 700 series passenger lifts. The drive sits either on the car itself (fixed on the top or on the side) or in the obligatory counterweight of the lift. This solution, which is also elegant from an engineering point of view, opens up much more flexible design possibilities for the shaft and the car, which can now be far more easily integrated in the overall architectural concept.
Fully glazed panoramic lifts are therefore possible due to our unique drive system allowing passengers unrestricted view of the internal architecture of the building over several stories
